TIJUANA, Mexico-- Stanford freshman Kristian Ipsen and his partner Troy Dumais finished fourth in the synchronized 3-Meter at the fourth and final Diving World Series in Tiajuana, with a score of 423.06.
The duo opened up with six 8.5's on a back pike for 51.00 points, before hitting 8.5's and 9.0's on an inward dive and tuck for 52.80 points. Five 9.0's followed on a forward 3 1/2 pike for 79.98 points. A range of 7.5's to 8.5's resulted on their forward 2 1/2 somersault for 79.56 points. They closed out the competition with 7.5's on each of their last two dives.
Ukraine's team finished with a bronze medal and 432.81 poitns, followed by Great Britain (436.74) and China (454.29).
