STANFORD, Calif. - No. 12 Stanford women's rowing aims for a conference title this weekend as the Pac-12 Championships take place Sunday at Lake Natoma.

The Cardinal is joined in the field by No. 1 California, No. 3 USC, No. 7 UCLA, No. 8 Washington, No. 17 Washington State and Oregon State.

The schools will compete over four boats classes: Frosh/Novice Eight, Four, and I and II Eights.

Stanford has finished second in the team standings for two consecutive years heading into Sunday and the I Eight has also captured silver each of the past two years.

The II Eight, meanwhile, aims for its third straight conference gold medal Sunday.

Sunday's women's rowing action begins with the Frosh/Novice Eight race at 9:50 a.m., as the Cardinal rows in the sixth lane. That is followed at 10:30 a.m. with the Fours, as Stanford rows in the seventh lane.

The II Eight race, set for 11:10 a.m., features the Cardinal in the fourth lane while the I Eight race will have the Cardinal in the fifth lane.

This season the Cardinal has faced a schedule loaded with ranked teams. Stanford split its eight races against Michigan State and Notre Dame at the Stanford Invitational in April, and prior to that took third behind California and Wisconsin at the Lake Natoma Invitational.
