STANFORD, Calif.-- Stanford senior Bobby Bollier was named Academic All-District following a 3.75 cumulative GPA and will now be eligible for Academic All-America status.
The Pac-12's Scholar Athlete of the Year for swimmer finished his career as a 14-time All-American with 109 points at the NCAA Championships. His final collegiate meet resulted in a third place finish in the 800 free relay, a fourth place swhing in the 200 fly and eight place finish in the 500 free for the third place Cardinal.
Part of conference titles all four years, he finihsed fourth at this year's 200 fly. He leaves the school as the record holder in the 200 fly (1:40.76) and also top-five all-time in the 200 and 500 free and 100 fly.
Bollier, men's volleyballer Brad Lawson and wrestler Nick Amuchastegui were all named to the first team for the eighth district.
