Women Sailors in Ninth After Day One

AUSTIN, Texas-- Stanford Sailing managed to get off only to full rounds of the women's three-day national championship, as the Cardinal are ninth with 51 points after day one.

The B Division boat of Molly McKinney and Kaitlyn Baab won the first race and were tenth in the second for 11 points. The A Division skippered by Sally Mace finished with 40 points over four races, finishing 13th, tenth, 14th and third.

The Cardinal, in second place for the Fowle Trophy, given to the sailing program with the top over score in six events over a calendar year, will also sail in the coed and team races here in Texas.
