AUSTIN, Texas-- Stanford Sailing finished in eighth place at the national team championships, finishing the second day 4-10 against the other seven national three-boat teams.
The Cardinal went 2-5 in each of the two gold rounds after opening with a 5-2 record on day one. The Cardinal picked up wins against St. Mary's (Md.) and Georgetown on day two.
With the finish, Stanford will have Tuesday off, before competing in the three-day coed championships beginning on Wednesday.
Stanford is one of five teams at all three national championships, joining, Brown, Hobart College, Boston College and Georgetown. Stanford was 13th in the women's race last week.
