STANFORD, Calif. - The Stanford women's swimming team improved to 3-1 on the season with a 147-104 victory Saturday over Pacific at the Avery Aquatic Center. No. 7 Stanford resumes action Jan. 11-13 at the Bruin Diving Invitational in Los Angeles.
"It was nice to be racing today after a very productive training camp the last few weeks," head coach Greg Meehan said. "The team handled racing under early high levels of fatigue very well.
"It was also very nice to have Felicia Lee competing for the first time this season."
Lee contributed to wins in the 100 back and 200 medley relay, the former of which came in 1:41.60 along with KC Moss and Jaynie Pulte.
Fiona Majeau, who touched in at 10:14.67.
Andie Taylor (1:50.02) placed ahead of Allison Brown (1:50.42) and Allison Arnold (1:52.13) to give Stanford a sweep of the top three spots in the 200 free.
Lee won the 100 back in 53.92 in front of Jessie Hammes (59.21).
Sarah Haase (1:02.40) and Moss (1:02.47) were first and second, respectively, in the 100 breast. With Kaia Simmons (2:02.91) claiming top honors in the 200 fly ahead of Kirstie Chen (2:02.96).
Andi Murez (23.11), Katie Olsen (24.04), Julia Ama (24.53) and Haley Sims (24.75) led the pack in the 50 free. Schaefer (49.91) was victorious in the 100 free and Annemarie Thayer (1:59.80) topped the podium in the 200 back.
Olsen went 2:15.29 to win the 200 breast as Arnold (2:22.54) was second.
Majeau went 4:59.86 in the 500 free and Murez finished the 100 fly in 56.27. Taylor (4:18.54) shined in the 400 individual medley.
The 400 free relay saw Pulte, Durant, Chen and Schaefer team to tap in at 3:29.18.
