HONOLULU, Hawaii - No. 2 Stanford women's water polo finished up a 4-0 weekend in Honolulu with wins of 20-3 and 17-5 over No. 6 San Diego State and No. 8 Hawai'i, respectively, Saturday.
The Cardinal (24-1) extended its winning streak to 10, and returns to Avery Aquatic Center for Senior Day next Saturday, April 6 against No. 4 UCLA at 1 p.m.
Sophomore Annika Dries added four goals.
Kate Baldoni and Gabby Stone split the games in the cage, with Stone starting and making nine saves against San Diego State and Baldoni handling the nightcap against the Rainbow Wahine, stopping 14 shots.
Stanford opened Saturday's action with a 14-0 run on the Aztecs that was broken when San Diego State finally got on the board with 5:28 remaining in the third period. From there the Cardinal still scored six of the last nine goals of the game to finish off the win.
Along with Grossman's fiver, Neushul scored three times while Kaley Dodson and Rachel Johnson, Melissa Seidemann, Kelsey Suggs.
Facing host Hawai'i in the evening, the Cardinal scored the first four goals of the game on the way to a 9-3 halftime lead. A 4-1 edge in the third period swelled the lead to 13-4 after three periods as the Cardinal cruised to the 17-5 win.
Steffens led the Cardinal with four goals against the Rainbow Wahine while Dries, Grossman and Yelizarova each scored thrice. Neushul posted a pair of goals while Kaitlyn Lo contributed the remaining two goals.
