Stanford Record Books: 1650 Free (1st - 14:24.35, 2012), 1000 Free (1st - 8:44.38, 2012), 500 Free (2nd - 4:13.92, 2012)

International Competition: Member of the 2009-10 U.S. National Team with five other Cardinal swimmers, earning a spot on the team with America's top 1500-meter time at 14:53.77 and the third-fastest 400-meter time, both set at the World University Games... won silver medals at the Pan Pacific Games in Irvine in August, 2010 finishing as the runner-up in the 800 and 1500-meer races... at the ConoccoPhillips National Championships in the summer of 2010, swam the then-fastest time in the world in the 1500 freee (14:55.39) to win his first national title... was also fourth in the 400 free (3:48.76).won five medals over the summer season in 2009... competing at the 2009 World University Games in Serbia, won three medals; a gold medal in the 800 freestyle with a time of 7:47.24, a second place finish and silver medal in the 400 freestyle (3:46.72) and another silver in the 1500 freestyle (14:53.77)... won his fourth medal of the summer at the U.S. Open in Federal Way, Wash. in August, pacing the field in the 400 with a time of 3:48.26... two days later won a gold in the 800 freestyle setting a course record with a mark of 7:47.27, just three hundredths short of his career-best.

2011-12 (Senior): Set an American and school-record in his final 1650 free, swimming 14:24.25 to finish second at the NCAA Championships... was third in the 500 free (4:13.92), finishing his career as an eight-time All-American with 112 career points... was either first or second in the 1650 free all four years, winning the 2010 title... finished off his final Pac-12 Championship with a win in the 1650 free, for the fourth-straight year and a title in the 500 free for the Pac-12 champions for the 31st-straight time... He also went 25-1 in four seasons in dual competition in the 1000, 1650 and 500 free. He closed out his career by winning 23-straight long distance dual events, with the lone loss to his own teammates his freshman year... also won the Tri-Distance Cal showdown in the longest combined free style for the fourth-straight time, winning the 1000 and 500 frees that day in the fall.... won the Arena Invite 500 free as well as dual meets with Pacific, Arizona, Cal and USC, defeated Hawaii and Cal in the 1000 free and USC in the 1650 free... academic all-Pac-12 honorable mention.

2010-2011 Season (Junior): NCAA runner-up in the 1650 free, one of two top-eight finishes for the American distance swimmer, finishing with a time of 14:34.80 behind Michale McBroom's time of 14:32.86... finished sixth in the 500 free with a time of 4:16.15... ranked No. 1 nationally in the 1000 free and finished second nationally in the 1650 free... was also 11th nationally in the 500 free... defended his Pac-10 title in the 1650 free for the third-straight year, swimming a top time of 14:38.13... also in Long Beach, finished fifth in the 500 free one of six Cardinal in the top-11 as the Cardinal won its 30th-straight Pac-10 title... did not lose a dual long distance event, winning the 1000 free (USC, Arizona, Cal) and 500 free (ASU, Cal, CS Bakersfield, Pacific) seven times.... won the tri-distance event over Cal in the longer distances of the 200, 500 and 1000 freestyles... Academic All-Pac-10.

2009-2010 Season (Sophomore): One of the top distance swimmers in the country... a two-time All-American, 1650 freestyle NCAA Champion with a pool record 14:42.87 time... placed 11th in the 500 freestyle...also a 1650 freestyle Pac-10 Champion (14:46.70)...placed 12th in the 500 freestyle at the Pac-10s...won the 500 freestyle at the Toshiba Classic...won the 100 freestyle against Arizona.

2008-09 Season (Freshman): Named an All-American twice as a freshman, in the 500 and 1650 freestyles... was also honored as the Pac-10 Conference's Newcomer of the Year... won the Pac-10 individual title in the 1650 freestyle... during the year had the NCAA's second-fastest 1650 freestyle time (14:33.55), while also posting the second-best 1000 freestyle mark (8:59.35)... finished third in the 500 freestyle at the Pac-10s (4:16.29)... won the Pac-10's 1650 freestyle with the time of 14:39.01, the third-fastest time in school history... at the NCAA 1650, he smashed the Stanford record, setting a new standard (14:33.55) to finish as the NCAA runner-up.

High School: Led Mission Viejo to the CIF-Southern Section title in 2005-2007...All-American and member of the national champion 400 free relay...competed for the United States as a member of the 2006 junior national team and at the 2007 World University Games...also competed in two years of water polo at Mission Viejo.
