The defending national champion clinched its sixth U.S. Synchronized Swimming Collegiate Championship (and fourth in a row) by scoring 94 points to beat runner-up Ohio State (87 points) in Columbus, Ohio. Sweeping the first three events, Stanford claimed gold in the trio event, duet, and the solo final. Sara Lowe, Courtenay Stewart, and Melissa Knight teamed up to win gold in the trio event, while the team of Erin Bell, Poppy Carlig, and Taylor Durand took third. Lowe and Stewart continued their domination of the duet competition, earning gold once again. Carlig and Knight came in third to score decisive points that put Stanford ahead of Ohio State. Lowe completed her incredible collegiate career with her third consecutive solo title and four national championships, winning every event she entered. | ||

Stanford secured a third consecutive U.S. Collegiate title with a score of 97 points, 13 ahead of runner-up Ohio State, with the Cardinal women sweeping every event in Norton, Mass. The trio of Elizabeth Anne Markman, Sara Lowe, and Courtenay Stewart captured gold, while the team of Samantha Bongiovanni-Duclos, Melissa Knight, and Poppy Carlig came in fourth. For the third straight year, Lowe teamed up with Stewart to earn gold for duets. Markman and Bongiovanni-Duclos were not far behind with a second-place finish. Lowe received gold in the solo final for the second consecutive year, and the Cardinal also teamed for gold in the final competition. Markman was recognized as Athlete of the Year, while head coach Heather Olson was named Coach of the Year. | ||

Stanford (96 points) captured its second consecutive collegiate championship title, outscoring runner-up Ohio State (92 points) at Avery Aquatic Center. Dominating the `A' elements once again, the team earned eight of the top 10 spots, as Courtenay Stewart placed first. Stanford was second and third in the trio finals, as the team of Samantha Duclos, Elizabeth-Anne Markman, and Stewart missed gold by less than two tenths of a point and was followed by Poppy Carlig, Melissa Knight, and Erin Bell. As for the duet finals, Sara Lowe and Stewart claimed gold for the second consecutive year, and Duclos and Carlig teamed to earn bronze. Lowe capped off her incredible performances to win the solo title and be recognized as the high-point Athlete. Also, the Cardinal won gold in the team competition and Heather Olson was named Collegiate Coach of the Year award. | ||

Stanford claimed the U.S. Collegiate championship in Gainesville, Fla., and ended Ohio State's six-year national winning streak. The Cardinal swept every event to score a 99.2 out of the possible 100 points to finish an undefeated season. Both `A' elements and `B' figures were dominated by the Cardinal, as the team captured all four top places in each of the events. Senior Katie Norris earned gold in the A elements, while freshmen Katherine Norris came in first in the B figures. Samantha Bongiovanni-Duclos, Courtenay Stewart, and Sara Lowe teamed up in the trio competition and teammates Poppy Carlig, Cassidy Ramage, and Melissa Knight were third. In a similar fashion, the Cardinal came in first and third in the duet finals, as Stewart and Lowe swam a perfect routine for gold, while senior Norris and Bongiovanni-Duclos fought for bronze. Norris completed her collegiate career winning gold in the solo and was recognized as the Collegiate Athlete of the Year, in addition to receiving high-point recognition. Collegiate Coach of the Year Heather Olson choreographed a strong final team swim to "Dante's Inferno" for the Cardinal's highest score of the year. | ||

The Cardinal won its second consecutive Collegiate National Championship, in southern California. Led by senior Vanessa Shaw, Stanford placed first in two events to capture the title. Shaw, a four-time All-American, won the solo competition and helped guide the squad to first finish in the team event. Other Stanford All-Americans were Julie Enos, Paige Freiheit, Shannon Montague, Lindsey Wigginton and Kristi Wright. | ||

The Cardinal finished first in four of five events to take home its first Collegiate National Championship, in St. Paul, Minn. Four swimmers were named All-Americans, led by captain Heather Pease. The junior won the solo competition with a score of 98.067, and figures with 87.643. She teamed up with Vanessa Shaw, also an All-American, to place first in the duet competition with 97.667. The pair joined All-American Shannon Montague for the trio title, scoring a 97.2 in the event. Julie Enos also earned All-America honors. | ||
