Local Heroes is a way for Stanford Athletics to show its appreciation of our outstanding neighbors who spend tireless hours serving our community. Nearly every organization has a Hero, someone who goes above and beyond the call of duty, never asking for recognition, and always going the extra mile to help others. Stanford Athletics wants to recognize these amazing individuals in our community who are committed to bettering the Bay Area.
Join us in honoring some of the great members of our community by nominating a Hero you have seen in action. Stanford Athletics' Local Heroes program will recognize these individuals throughout the year at marquee sporting events as a thank you for all they do. Heroes will receive tickets to the designated game and exclusive access pre- or post-game. To nominate a Local Hero, please complete the form below. Things we consider when reviewing nominations include:
- The Hero's involvement in a 501c non-profit organization or Title I educational institution
- Demonstrated impact on community organization
- Quality & sincerity of nomination
- Length and duration of service
NOTE: Local Hero does not need to serve the community on an entirely volunteer basis. Individuals who go beyond their job description to better others and improve our community are excellent examples of local heroes (example: a elementary teacher who stays late every day to tutor students, a program director at a non-profit who spends every weekend assisting at the organization's food pantry, etc.)
Join us in appreciating all of the great things happening in our community by nominating a Local Hero today!
