No. 8/9 Stanford Travels to Washington for Thursday Pac-12 Bout
Cardinal eyes third straight 4-0 start.
Hans Straub enters his first season on Stanford's sports performance staff after serving as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at the University of Washington for the previous five years.
During his time at Washington, Straub worked closely with the Huskies softball, baseball and women's volleyball programs. He also served as an assistant director of athletic performance at the University of San Diego from 2002-06 where he worked with a variety of Torero programs, including baseball, softball, men's soccer, men's and women's tennis, men's golf, swimming & diving and men's and women's rowing.
Straub is a 2002 graduate of Towson (Md.) University, where he earned his bachelor of science degree in kinesiology. He is a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the National Strength and Conditioning Association, as is also certified as a club coach with USA Weightlifting. Straub is currently pursuing his master's degree in exercise science from Texas-El Paso.
A native of Carlisle, Pa., Straub currently resides in Palo Alto.
