International Competition: Gits was the top American finisher at the 2008 World Junior Cross Country Championships from Edinburgh, Scotland ... she finished 13th overall in a time of 20:41 to pace the American team that finished sixth ... qualified for the race by placing second at the 2008 United States Junior National Cross Country Championships.
