Ashley Marks begins her first season with theCardinal coaching staff after playing at the University ofMichigan from 1994-1997. As a captain her senior year, Marks led the Wolverines to the Big-10 Championship and an appearance inthe NCAA Tournament for the second year in a row.

She was a four-year letterwinner, and earned Big Ten All-Academic honors for three years. She was voted Unsung Hero for two years as a Wolverine and graduated with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance in 1998.

Marks' coaching experience dates back to her high school days in Colorado. She served as the head coach for a club team in the Cherry Creek Recreational League for two years, including aPepsi Cup League Championship. In addition to the club teams, she has worked various youth soccer camps at the University ofMichigan and Stanford. Marks also has her National Diploma License from the NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association ofAmerica).

Before coming to Stanford, Marks spent the past two years working as an analyst at Roberston Stephens, an investment bank, in San Francisco.

Marks is 24 and resides in Menlo Park.
