2000: Redshirted his first season.
High School: Attended Chaminade Prep, where he captained the 2000 squad to a district championship and a third-place finish in the state... Earned First Team All-State and First Team All-Metro accolades... Named Metro League Defensive Player of the Year... Awarded Athlete of the Class honors his senior year... Helped the team to a district championship and a second-place finish in the state his junior year... Also played golf, and was named All-State his freshman and sophomore year... Led the golf team to state championships in 1997 and '98... Team finished as district champions and the state runners-up in 2000... Member of the National Honor Society... Earned Academic Excellence Awards in public speaking, global issues, religious studies and physical education... Graduated with a 3.9 GPA.
