Eddie Conrad hails from New Orleans, LA, where he grew up sailing optimistsout of Southern Yacht Club, traveling on the regional circuit throughoutTexas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida. After the optimist,which gave him his first taste of international competition at the age of13, Eddie graduated into Laser Radials and Club 420s, but began spendingmore of his time sharing his passion of the sport as a coach of severaljunior programs. He loves all watersports, but especially sailing, both forthe friendships and variety of competitions that he will be able to enjoyuntil an old age.
