Greg Bacchetti begins hisfirst season as the Directorof Marketing andPromotions for the StanfordSoccer Program after many years of localcoaching. For the last two seasons, Bacchettiserved as the assistant coach for the women sprogram at nearby DeAnza Junior College. Inaddition, for the last five years, he has held theassistant post for both the boys and girls varsityteams at Palo Alto High School.
Bacchetti also brings years of camp coachingexperience to the Farm, including each of thelast three years with the Stanford SoccerCenters of Excellence and five years with youthdevelopment for the Palo Alto Soccer Club.As a collegian at Erskine College in SouthCarolina, Bacchetti was a starting goalkeeperfor the Flying Fleet.
Prior to returning to his native California,Bacchetti owned his own restaurant, Rocky sBrick Oven Pizza, in Atlanta, Georgia. While inAtlanta, he was an assistant coach with both theGwinett Soccer Association and the Top HatSoccer Club.
Bacchetti holds family ties to The Farm, ashe was born on the Stanford campus, hisgrandfather was a former music professor andhis uncle, Ray Bacchetti, served as UniversityVice Provost.
Greg is currently finishing his degree in com-puterscience from San Jose State.
