Jennifer Kasper begins her first season with the Stanford lacrosse program after joining the staff as an Assistant Coach on Aug. 22, 2007.

Kasper, a four-year letter winner (2002-07) with the University of Maryland- Baltimore County, will bring her talent and administrative background to the Cardinal. As a red-shirt senior, Jen spent the last year working as an intern in the coaching office for UMBC. She was primarily responsible for running the University Physical Education Lacrosse class and devising the summer workouts for the UMBC lacrosse team.

"I am excited for the enthusiasm that Jen brings to the table," said Uhlfelder. "For a young coach, Jen has jumped in with both feet, with a desire to be a great coach. She brings administrative and organizational qualities to the table that I think are beyond her years and she can't wait to get started. As a midfield attacker, Jen will work with both our attack and midfield units. She joins our staff as a former competitor of ours, visiting The Farm twice in her playing career. I am excited for her transition; she will be involved in all facets of the program and have key opportunities to use her Communication and Media Studies background. I look forward to the work ethic that she will bring to our program."

A native of Eldersburg, MD, Kasper was voted team captain for UMBC in 2006 and 2007. She also was named to the America East All-Conference Team in 2006 and 2007 after she led her team in assists in each of those seasons. Kasper was a member of the Northeast Conference Championship team in 2003, which enabled her to participate in the NCAA Tournament that season.

Kasper has also been the Head Coach of the 2013 girls Check-Hers Elite Club team in her hometown of Eldersburg, MD after being an assistant coach for the South Carroll Juniors from 2004-06 in Winfield, MD.
