Joe Kay's involvement with the team is limited this season as he completes an internship for a government agency in Washington, D.C., and heads to Berlin, Germany, for the winter quarter.
The 6-foot-6 Kay was a standout in basketball and volleyball at Tucson (Ariz.) High School. Though an injury keeps him from the court, Kay has helped the team with public communications and through general coaching assistance.
An American Studies major, Kay is an advocate for the disabled. He is the son of Suzanne Rabe and Fred Kay, and has two brothers, Alec and Henry, and a sister, Elena.
