Josh Cohen is entering his third year with the Stanford women’s volleyball program and his second as a full-time assistant.

"Josh is one of the hardest working coaches I’ve ever worked with," praised Corlett. "He is reliable and has great knowledge about the game of volleyball. He also takes a lot of pressure off the rest of the coaching staff with his organizational and technological skills."

Prior to joining the Cardinal program, Cohen coached with various club and high school teams for nine years. Cohen has worked with some of the top teams and players in the nation, including high school state championship teams, Junior Olympic national championship squads and numerous junior All-Americans.

Among the high school teams are two state champions and one runner-up. Cohen was an assistant coach on Harbor High School’s 1992 championship team and Archbishop Mitty’s 1996 state title squad. He was also an assistant for the Archbishop Mitty team that finished second in 1997.

As a player, Cohen was a member of the first De Anza Junior College men’s volleyball team to advance to the state championships.

Cohen is single and resides in Santa Cruz.
