High School: Averaged 17.3 points and ten rebounds per game (20 games) at St. Joseph Notre Dame High School ... Scored a career-high 27 points in handing Richmond High School its first loss of the season ... Despite the fact that he missed the last two months of the season with a broken bone in his right wrist, he still gained first team all-state honors by Cal-Hi Sports, all-Metro first team honors by the San Francisco Examiner, and first team honors by the Alameda Newspaper Group ... Named to the 15-player Long Beach Press-Telegram's 23rd annual "Best of the West" team which included freshman teammates Curtis Borchardt and Casey Jacobsen ... His team finished the year 22-7 during his senior season, losing by only two points in the Northern California Section to eventual champion DeLaSalle (30-1) ... A four-year starter ... During his junior season, helped lead his team to a 29-5 record and a berth in the championship game of the state tournament ... Gained all-league honors during his junior and senior seasons at St. Joseph ... Also co-MVP of the team ...
