High School: Rowed four years for Oakland Strokes crew. Stroked 2002 Varsity 8+ that won Southwest Regionals and finished fifth at nationals. Stroked 2003 Lightweight 8+ that won Southwest Regionals and won nationals. 2002 Most Improved Award. 2003 Coaches' Award. National Merit Scholar. Brown Book Award for distinguished writing.
