General: Has worked hard to earn a spot on the active roster after serving as a student manager for each of the past two seasons (2006, '07) The third Stanford player this decade to become a player after first spending time as a student manager, following in the footsteps of Cameron Matthews and Matt Cano.
High School: A 2005 graduate of South San Antonio High School Selected a First Team All-State catcher in 2005 as a senior when he hit .383 with two home runs and 38 RBI Earned First Team All-District catcher honors three times (2003, '04, '05) Helped his team to three consecutive playoff appearances (2003, '04, '05), including the District-4A quarterfinals of the 2005 state tournament A National Merit finalist and 2005 Gates Millennium Scholarship Recipient Named his school's Student-Athlete of the Week four times Coached by Robert Zamora.
