Ross Gerry enters his 10th season as an assistant coach with the Cardinal. Since coming to The Farm, Gerry has played an influential role in Stanford capturing six NCAA Championships. Gerry, 41, assists in all phases of the swimming program, including daily workouts, recruiting and team travel. In addition, Gerry oversees the strength training and masters swimming programs at Stanford.
Prior to his arrival at Stanford, Gerry served as head coach of the Napa Valley Swim Team for two years after a stint as the head men's and women's coach at Clark University in Worcester, Mass. While at Clark, Gerry coached the school's first-ever NCAA All-American and led the Cougars to their best single-season dual meet record in school history. Gerry also has served as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Boston University.
A 1981 graduate of BU, Gerry was a three-time co-captain with the Terriers. Gerry and his wife, Judy Heller, reside in San Carlos with their two sons, Brenner (12) and Benjamin (10).
