As a Junior in 2001-02: Swam the anchorleg on Stanford's seventh-place 200 (22.86/1:31.27) and eighth-place 800 (1:51.89/7:14.96) yard relay teams at the NCAA's to earn two All-American honors... Also swam the third leg on Stanford's ninth-place 400 yard relay squad (50.42/3:19.37) at the NCAA's ... Made a major contribution to Stanford's relay effort at the Pac-10's by anchoring the team's second-place 200 yard medley (22.66/1:39.88) and 200 yard free (22.82/1:30.96) relay teams ... Also swam the third leg on Stanford's third-place 800 yard free relay (1:52.50/7:16.05) squad at the Pac-10's ... Participated at the NCAA's in both the 50 (36th, 23.26) and 100 (38th, 50.54) yard free ... Scored in the 50 (9th, 23.37) and 100 (16th, 51.57) yard free at the Pac-10's, while also participating in the 200 yard free (25th, 1:51.72) ... University of Hawaii (1999-2001): Had an excellent sophomore season, winning Western Athletic Conference titles in the 100 (50.19, 49.93 prelims) and 200 (1:48.08) yard free, as well as on the 200 yard free relay team (1:31.09) ... Placed third in the 50 yard free (23.20) at the WAC Championships as a sophomore ... Participated at the NCAA's in three events as a sophomore, taking 41st in the 50 (23.52), 43rd in the 100 (51.15) and 49th in the 200 (1:50.90) yard free ... Finished sixth at the WAC Championships in the 50 (23.58) and ninth in the 100 (51.34) yard free as a freshman ... Coached by Sam Freas.
High School: A 1999 graduate of Rowland Hall St. Marks High School ... A two-time prep All-American in the 50 and 100 yard free ...
