Scotti Shafer joins the Cardinal coaching staff this season as a Graduate Student Coach, after finishing a successful career at Stanford in 2006.

Shafer tallied more than 100 goals in her career on the Farm, including 40 during her senior season. The Carlsbad, Calif. native earned All-America honors in 2006 and received MPSF All-Conference Honorable Mention. She capped her Stanford career with an impressive performance at the NCAA Championships, netting nine goals and earning a spot on the NCAA All-Tournament First Team.

Shafer was a top academic performer at Stanford as well, as a three-time MPSF Academic All-Conference honoree and a four-time AWPCA All-Academic honoree. She graduated last spring with a degree in Sociology, and earned the NCAA Post-Graduate Scholarship to continue her studies. Currently, Shafer is pursuing a Master's Degree in Sociology at Stanford.
