Played in 18 matches and started in two for the Cardinal ... Finished second on the team with 118 digs, tied for sixth in the MPSF with a dig average of 1.90 and placed 20th nationally averaging 1.87 digs per game ... Tallied a season-best 12 digs at Pepperdine on Feb. 10 ... Had best all-around game against BYU on Apr. 2 with a season-high 10 kills on 19 attempts (.316 hitting percentage), seven digs and one block ... Posted double-digit and match-high digs at UC Irvine (11) and at UC Santa Cruz (10) ... Added 10 digs at UCLA in the Cardinal's upset of the No. 3 Bruins on Mar. 9 and nine digs against No. 1 Pepperdine on Jan. 21 ... Hit a .429 clip against D'Youville and finished with four kills ... Recorded a team-high six digs at UC Irvine on Apr. 12 and a match-best five digs at CS Northridge.
As a Redshirt Freshman in 2000:
Appeared in 23 matches and ranked second on the team with 142 digs (1.97 per game) ... Also finished with 85 kills and 20 total blocks ... Had one double-double (kills and blocks) and narrowly missed two others ... Nailed 13 kills in 21 total chances (three errors) for a .476 hitting percentage in a Jan. 16 victory over San Diego State ... Also had nine digs against the Aztecs ... Finished with 14 kills and nine digs against eventual national champion UCLA on Jan. 22 ... Had 10 kills and a .438 hitting percentage at No. 4 USC on Jan. 29 ... Recorded 12 kills and 11 digs against No. 10 Lewis on Feb. 4 for his first career double-double ... Had a great defensive stretch from Feb. 17 through Feb. 25, posting double-digit digs in three of four matches ... Tallied 13 digs against No. 3 Pepperdine (Feb. 17), 10 against UC Irvine (Feb. 22) and another 13 against Pacific (Feb. 25) ... Registered eight kills and eight digs in a three-game victory at UC Santa Cruz on Mar. 6.
