TJ Tullo came to Stanford as an experienced junior sailor. In 2005 he was a US Youth Sailing Team member in the Hobie 16, a two time Opti North American Champion, two time 420 North American champion and a Laser Radial National Champion. In 2002 at age 15 Tullo led a group of friends on a sponsored sail for 28 miles from Sandy Hook, N.J., to Manhattan's South Street Seaport and raised $12,000 for 9/11 victims. Tullo, a junior from Staten Island, leads the Cardinal coed team as a skipper in his junior year.
