| A shortstop for the Indians following the War, Melton played for Stanford from 1948 to 1950. The Indians won the conference title in 1950, Melton's final season. He reached the Majors with the Kansas City Athletics in 1956 and 1958 after playing in the old Pacific Coast League for the San Francisco Seals. | |||||||||||
