STANFORD, Calif. - Tickets for the Bravo Card Women's Basketball Classic, featuring Stanford vs. the defending NCAA Champions, Tennessee, go on sale on Monday, November 3, 1997. Tickets can be purchased at all BASS Outlets (408-998-BASS, 510-762-BASS, 415-762-BASS) or by calling 1-800-BEAT CAL. Game tickets are also available via the World Wide Web at www.bass-tix-com. Ticket prices are $20, $12 and $10.

The Bravo Card Classic is scheduled for the San Jose Arena on Saturday, November 29 at 12:30 pm (PST). The San Jose Arena, which seats 18,000, is the site for the 1999 NCAA Women's Basketball Final Four, hosted by Stanford University. Stanford season ticket holders have already purchased 7,000 tickets to the Bravo Card Classic, but good seats still remain at all price ranges.

Stanford and Tennessee represent two of the most prolific NCAA basketball programs in the country and their match-ups are consistently among the best every year. The Cardinal, coached by Olympic Gold-Medal winning coach, Tara VanDerveer, returns three starters from last year's Final Four team, including Olympia Scott, a candidate for the Boost/Naismith Player of the year, small forward and All-American candidate Vanessa Nygaard and returning power forward Naomi Mulitauaopele.

The Lady Vols, coached by five-time National Championship coach Pat Summitt, returns SEC Player of the Year Chamique Holdsclaw as well as two other starters from the 1997 NCAA Championship team. Holdsclaw is the only college player selected to the USA's 1998 FIBA Women's World Championship Squad.

Participating sponsors of the Bravo Card Classic include Sprint PCS, Purple Moon Cool CD-ROMS for Girls, Nike, KICU TV 36, KARA Radio, American Airlines and the Bravo Card.

The BRAVO Card, launched in 1995, offers members two lines of credit: an Active Line and a Reserve Line. The BRAVO Card also offers an over-limit protection feature called Approval: Yes! The BRAVO Card, issued by a business unit of Morgan Stanley, Dean Witter, Discover & Co., is a general purpose credit card that is accepted nationwide wherever the NOVUS sign is displayed.
