Six Stanford Gymnasts Earn All-America Honors

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.- Six Stanford men's gymnasts garnered a total of eight All-America honors Sunday at the NCAA Individual Event Finals at Penn State.

Eddie Penev finished second on floor with a 15.550, while John Martin earned a third-place finish on pommel horse with a 14.775.

Penev also earned All-America honors on vault with a 15.100 to tie for seventh. He finished the weekend with three awards after picking up his first All-America honor Saturday, finishing third in the all-around.

Penev completed his collegiate career as a nine-time All-American, two-time vault champion and 2012 floor champion.

Sean Senters joined Penev on vault and floor, receiving All-America honors in both events. Senters finished tied for fifth on vault with a 15.125 and earned an eighth-place finish on floor with a 14.000.

Brian Knott and Dennis Zaremski were named All-Americans on parallel bars, finishing sixth and seventh with scores of 14.750 and 14.525, respectively.

Cameron Foreman was the lone Cardinal to garner All-America honors on high bar with a 14.625, good for a seventh-place finish.

Sunday's competition concluded the 2013 season for Stanford, as it finished third in the nation and had six gymnasts garner nine All-America honors.
