STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford men's soccer continued its roll through its spring slate, grabbing a 3-1 decision at CSU Bakersfield last Saturday night.
The Cardinal will continue the spring schedule this Saturday night hosting UC Davis at Laird Q. Cagan for a 7 p.m. match.
Following Saturday night's win at Bakersfield, Stanford has now outscored its opponents 15-1 over its four spring contests. Zach Batteer netted a pair in Bakersfield with Eric Verso also bagging a goal.
Although the defense conceded for the first time this spring, goalie Drew Hutchins did well to make a couple of saves and marshal his back line to minimize further chances for the Roadrunners.

After taking a 2-0 lead early in the second half, the Cardinal saw its lead halved by the Roadrunners. But the Cardinal continued pushing forward and aggressively testing the Bakersfield defense. The efforts were rewarded with less than 10 minutes to go as a deep free kick found its way through the pack and onto the head of Verso, who finished strong for Stanford's third goal.
