2003 Track & Field Season (Sophomore): The 2003 Pac-10 champion in the 3,000 meter steeplechase with a career best time of 8:49.88 ... Finished fifth in the 10,000 meters at the NCAA Championships with a time of 28:32.33 to earn All-America honors ... Placed sixth in the 10,000 meter finals at the U.S. Outdoor Championships with a time of 28:20.51, the second-best performance all-time at Stanford ... Placed fifth in the 5000 meters at the conference meet to help Stanford finish second in the team competition ... Gained All-America honors with a ninth place finish in the 5000 meters at the 2003 NCAA Indoor Championships ... Ran 13:52.29 for the 5000 meters indoors.
2002 Track & Field Season (Freshman): Helped Stanford to its second straight Pac-10 title by finishing third in the 3000 meter steeplechase in a freshman school record time of 9:03.06 ... Competed in the 10,000 meters at the NCAA Championships ... Ran a season-best 29:06.41 in the 10,000 meters at the Stanford Invitational, the fourth-best freshman performance in Stanford history ... 2001 Track & Field Season: Redshirted, but competed at the U.S. Junior Nationals where he won the 5000 meters to earn a trip to the Pan Am Junior Championships in Argentina in October of 2001.
