Other colleges I considered: Yale, Princeton, Harvard, Cornell, University of Virginia, MITWhy I chose to come to Stanford: Stanford offered the best combination of academic and athletic opportunities as well as the chance to experience life in a completely different place.

What I love most about rowing for Stanford: I love the small size of the team and the feeling that everybody wants to be here. I also feel like all of the hard work we do is purposeful and that everyone believes in our potential to improve as a team.
