He started the first five games of the season and played in just six before an injury forced him to miss five of the final six games of the year ... He registered 17 total tackles, including four for loss ... Had a season-high five tackles, including two for loss, vs. Arizona ... Recorded four tackles, including one for loss, vs. San Jose State ... A key player in Stanford's defensive scheme, his injury was a big loss for the Cardinal over the second half of the season.

The 1999 Season: Moved from outside to inside linebacker ... Used in a reserve role and on special teams ... Registered eight total tackles ... Backup long snapper.

The 1998 Season: Recorded six total tackles as a reserve outside linebacker and member of special teams ... Earned his first varsity letter.The 1997 Season: Redshirted the season as a true freshman.

In High School: Came on strong his senior season after an injury limited his playing time during his junior season ... Named to SuperPrep's All-Farwest team after recording 18 quarterback sacks, two blocked kicks, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and one interception for Morse High School in San Diego ... Started at outside linebacker and center as a senior ... Also named First-Team All-CIF and All-League as a linebacker following his senior season ... Selected to the county All-Academic Team ...
