San Diego Crew Classic Results
SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Defending national champion Stanford lightweight I Eight notched victory at the San Diego Crew Classic Sunday.
After posting a two-second win over Princeton in Saturday morning's preliminary heat, the Cardinal A boat achieved the feat once more in Sunday's Grand Final, turning in a winning time of 6:50.42, just under three seconds ahead of the Tigers.
Stanford's B entry finished third in the Grand Final in a time of 7:22.24 while Washington State took fourth in 8:02.10.
The Cardinal returns to action in two weeks when it travels to Boston to take on Harvard April 20, then battle Boston University and MIT April 21.
