STANFORD, Calif. –
Stanford sailing recorded two top-two finishes this past weekend at the McIntyre Team Race and Bob Bavier Team Race.

Stanford played host to the McIntyre Team race and placed first with a perfect 18-0 record. Washington and Hawai’I tied for second with a 14-4 record, while UC Santa Barbara placed fourth with a 13-5 mark.

Cardinal skippers included Kevin Laube, Lily Katz, Mateo Vargas, Scott Buckstaff, Oliver Toole, Maeve White, Holly Tullo, Yuki Yoshiyasu and Reinier Eenkema Van Dijk. Stanford crews consisted of Yuri Namikawa, McKenzie Wilson, Tally Buckstaff, Katie Walker, Nicolette Obel, Michelle Catania, John Cannistraro, Daniel Ron and Cally Tullo.

The Cardinal also sent a contingent to the Bob Bavier Team Race hosted by the College of Charleston and finished second with a 15-6 record. Yale claimed the top spot with a 17-4 mark, while Georgetown went 15-6 to finish third.

Stanford was represented by Kieran Chung, Hans Henken and Antoine Screve at skipper. Cardinal crews included Haley Kirk, Mary Vangelos and Helena Scutt.

Stanford will compete in three regattas next weekend traveling to the John Jackson Team Race (Washington, D.C.), Navy Women’s Spring Intersectional (Annapolis, Md.) and the St. Mary’s Team Race (St. Mary’s City, Md.).
