SAN FRANCISCO- Stanford wrapped up play at the Battle in the Bay Classic, highlighted by David Hsu’s impressive run to the semifinals.
Participating in his first collegiate tournament, Hsu knocked off No. 2 seed Filip Bergevi of California in the round of 32. The Cardinal rookie then gave No. 3 seed Andre Goransson of California all he could handle in the semifinals before falling 7-6, 7-5.
Stanford is back in action next weekend, hosting the USTA/ITA Northwest Regional Championships at Taube Family Tennis Stadium.
