NORTHRIDGE, Calif. – The No. 13 Stanford men’s volleyball team saw its four-match winning streak come to an end, Friday, in an 18-25, 25-20, 21-25, 23-25 loss at No. 14 CSUN in Northridge, California. The Cardinal drops to 9-12 overall and 6-9 in the MPSF, while the Matadors move to 9-13 on the year and 6-10 in the conference.

Both teams hit .283 in the back-and-forth contest. The Matadors doubled-up the Cardinal in the block column 12.5 to 6.0. CSUN limited its service errors to 13, while Stanford tallied 20.

Junior outside hitter Madison Hayden led Stanford with 17 kills on a .382 hitting percentage to go with five digs and three blocks. Fifth-year senior Daniel Tublin added 12 kills on a .318 attack percentage, while redshirt sophomore Gabriel Vega notched nine kills, four digs and two aces.

Cardinal middle blockers Conrad Kaminski and Spencer Haly each collected three blocks and registered six and five kills, respectively.

Starting in place on the injured James Shaw, freshman setter Kyle Dagostino controlled the offense with 41 assists and five digs. Fellow rookie libero Evan Enriques finished with a team-high 11 digs.

Kyle Stevenson led CSUN with 16 kills and 12 digs, while hitting .583. Senior Greg Faulkner chipped in with six kills and six blocks.

Stanford wraps-up its road trip on Saturday, March 28 at No. 10 Long Beach State. First serve between the Cardinal and 49ers is set for 7 p.m. PT in the Pyramid.
