Among the storylines for Stanford:

•    Freshman decathlete Harrison Williams, the reigning U.S. junior national champion who already is No. 3 in Stanford history, is scheduled to compete in four events. Williams competes in the long jump (11:30 a.m.), 110-meter high hurdles (1:20 p.m.), and discus (2:30 p.m.) on Friday, and high jump on Saturday (12:45 p.m.). Williams made his collegiate outdoor debut by finishing as the top collegian and second overall in the Texas Relays decathlon last month.

•    Estonian sophomore Jaak Uudmae is scheduled to make his collegiate debut in his specialty, the triple jump. Not only that, but he’s going to follow his winning high jump debut at the Big Meet with another. Uudmae, whose father of the same name won  the 1980 Olympic triple jump gold for the USSR, redshirted as a true freshman last year and has mostly long-jumped in 2015. He will high jump Friday at 2:15 p.m. and triple jump Saturday at 3.

•    Discus throwers Valarie Allman and Rebecca Hammar seek to continue their momentum on Saturday (12:30 p.m.). The Card teammates rank Nos. 3-4 on Stanford’s all-time list after Hammar set a personal best of 182-7 at the Stanford Invitational and Allman established her best of 188-7 to win the Big Meet last week. Allman ranks No. 5 on the season collegiate list and Allman is No. 9.

•    Kaitlyn Williams, a junior, will run her first collegiate 800 on Saturday. This is her first outdoor season and she opened with the 400 (56.84) and 4x400 against Cal at the Big Meet on April 11. She ran the 800 occasionally ran the 800 while at Mansfield Timberview High in Texas.

•    Sophomore Vanessa Fraser is having a big year. She was second in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation indoor championships in the 3,000. At the Stanford Invitational earlier this month, she dropped her personal best in the 5,000 by 19 seconds, to 16:01.23. Fraser, who ranks No. 22 in the nation in that event, will work on her speed this weekend. On Saturday (3:20 p.m.), she will race in her first 1,500 since last year’s Brutus Hamilton.
