STANFORD, Calif. -- The Stanford baseball team will look for its third Pac-12 series win when it travels to Eugene, Oregon, this weekend to take on the Ducks. The Cardinal is making its fourth ever trip to PK Park since it opened in 2009.

Stanford (19-23, 5-13 Pac-12) and Friday-night starter Brett Hanewich will look for another solid series start after taking the opener in each of the last three series. Hanewich threw his first complete game of the season last season in beating No. 2 UCLA, 6-1, with a dominant all-around performance.

Hanewich (3-3, 3.84 ERA) has been the bright spot for the rotation that has been hit with injuries throughout the year. Now, the lineup is once again dealing with missing pieces as freshmen Mikey Diekroeger and Matt Winaker have gone down in the last two weeks and Austin Barr remained out through Tuesday’s game.

Oregon (25-19, 7-11 Pac-12) owns an 11-7 record against Stanford since 2009 when the program was revitalized. The Ducks entered 2015 as one of the most highly-touted squads in the nation, but sits in seventh place of the Pac-12, two games ahead of 11th-place Stanford.

The Ducks have also battled injuries, including missing Saturday starter David Peterson (3-5, 5.17 ERA) last week. Peterson is set to return this week against Stanford’s Marc Brakeman (1-2, 2.81 ERA), who looked good in 8.0 innings since returning from a seven-week absence. Oregon will start Cole Irvin (1-4, 4.66 ERA) Friday.

Oregon's potential Sunday starter, Josh Graham (2-0, 1.83 ERA), has been suspended for the series.

This weekend is the first of two straight roadtrips for Stanford. The Cardinal visit nationally-ranked USC the following Friday-Sunday.
