Kaminski Recognized

STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford junior Conrad Kaminski has been selected as an honorable mention All-American, the American Volleyball Coaches Association announced today.

It is the second consecutive All-America honor for Kaminski, who was also an honorable mention recipient in 2014. A middle blocker from New Berlin, Wisconsin, he led Stanford and was sixth in the conference with a .400 season hitting percentage. The only Cardinal player to start all 28 matches this season, Kaminski led the team in blocks (90) and was third in kills (174).

His .453 career hitting percentage is the best in program history in the rally-scoring era. The mechanical engineering major recorded a career high, and team season-best, 12 blocks in a thrilling five-set win over CSUN on Jan. 23. Kaminski tallied six of his 12 blocks in the fifth set as the Cardinal crushed the Matadors 15-3 to seal the victory.

Stanford is the host site for the 2015 National Collegiate Men’s Volleyball Championship, held May 5, 7, 9 in Maples Pavilion. Tickets are available now by calling 1-800-STANFORD or going online to gostanford.com/tickets.
