Stanford has advanced 32 athletes – 16 men and 16 women – to the meet.

Stanford has one No. 1 seed, women’s collegiate 5,000-meter leader Jessica Tonn. Other top-five qualifiers are Elise Cranny (No. 3, women’s 1,500), Claudia Saunders (No. 3, women’s 800), Dylan Duvio (No. 4, men’s pole vault), and Erik Olson (No. 4, men’s 5,000).

The Cardinal will be represented in 11 men’s events (six track, five field) and 10 women’s (six track, four field) at the Prelims. Last year, Stanford had 29 individual qualifiers, in 10 men’s events and seven women’s.

Including redshirt freshmen, the number of Stanford NCAA qualifiers in their first seasons of eligibility is 13 – seven men and six women.

The event with the most Stanford athletes is the women’s 800 with Olivia Baker, Maddy Berkson, Claudia Saunders, and Malika Waschmann. Also, there are three Cardinal each in the men’s 5,000 (Olson, Sean McGorty, and Jack Keelan) and women’s 1,500 (Cranny, Rebecca Mehra, and Molly McNamara).

There are 14 All-Americans still competing for Stanford: seven men and seven women. Of those, the highest individual national finishers were Saunders, who was second in the 2014 NCAA outdoor 800, and Cranny, the 2015 NCAA indoor 3,000 runner-up.
