STANFORD, Calif. - Senior Stefan Nastic has agreed to join the Golden State Warriors for NBA Summer League competition in Las Vegas.

Prior to joining the Warriors, Nastic will join the San Antonio Spurs from July 3-9 in the Utah Jazz Summer League.

Nastic joins fellow senior Chasson Randle, who has also agreed to join the Golden State Warriors for NBA Summer League action.

As a senior, Nastic developed into one of best centers in the country and emerged as a focal point of the Cardinal offense. Nastic averaged 13.4 points and 6.5 rebounds while reaching double figures in all but six games. Also totaling five double-doubles, Nastic set the tone with a career-high 26-point effort in the season opener against Wofford. In addition to leading the Cardinal in blocks (38), Nastic was a dependable free throw shooter (75.4 percent). Over his final 10 games of the season, Nastic connected on 49-60 (81.7 percent) from the foul line. Nastic was also selected to the NIT All-Tournament Team.

Playing regularly for the first time in his career as a junior in 2013-14, Nastic averaged 7.2 points and 2.9 rebounds. Nastic scored in double figures 12 times, a feat he had accomplished only twice in 53 career games prior to this year. Nastic was one of Stanford’s hottest players down the stretch, shooting 14-18 (77.8 percent) from the field during the Cardinal’s NCAA Sweet 16 run. Over his final eight games combined, Nastic converted an incredible 29-34 (85.3 percent) from the floor.

Nastic is a four-time Pac-12 All-Academic selection, receiving second-team honors twice and honorable mention accolades twice. Nastic also was awarded an NABC Honors Court pick in 2013. A psychology major with a 3.10 undergraduate GPA, Nastic completed coursework toward a coterminal M.A. in communication.

Nastic joined Anthony Brown and Chasson Randle as Stanford’s heralded senior captain trio accounting for 66.0 percent of the team’s overall scoring and 45.3 percent of its rebounding. Nastic departs The Farm having directed Stanford to 107 victories, an NCAA Sweet 16 appearance (2014) and two NIT championships (2012, 2015).

Stanford (24-13, 9-9 Pac-12) concluded its 100th season by capturing its second NIT championship in four seasons and third overall in school history. Qualifying for its fourth straight postseason appearance, the Cardinal narrowly missed the NCAA Tournament but bounced back by winning its final five games. Stanford, which was affected by several injuries to lineup regulars, finished ranked No. 34 in the RPI.
