Meyer at Pan Am Games

TORONTO, Canada – Lindsay Meyer ’12 is set to compete for the United States at the XVII Pan American Games.

Meyer is among 26 U.S. rowers competing in 14 events at the Pan Am Games. The rowing venue will be Martindale Pond in St. Catharines, Ontario and the racing will go from July 11-15. Martindale Pond has been the site of the Royal Canadian Henley since 1903.

Three Olympians are on the U.S. roster, including Meyer, who raced in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Meyer qualified for the USA squad at the Pan American Games Trials, winning the 2x event with Nicole Ritchie.

Meyer will compete in two events over the next five days in Canada. She will be stroking both the double sculls and quadruple sculls boats for Team USA.

The heat of the 2x will be the first race of the games at 9:05 a.m. tomorrow. The medal race is on Monday at 9:25 a.m. The heat of the 4x will be on Sunday at 10:35 a.m. with the medal race on Wednesday at 9:55 a.m.
