ITA All-Academic Honors

STANFORD, Calif. - Five members of the 2014-15 Stanford women's tennis team have been honored as ITA All-Academic Team honorees.

Caroline Doyle, Krista Hardebeck, Lindsey Kostas, Ellen Tsay and Carol Zhao were selected as ITA Scholar-Athletes.

In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must meet the following criteria: (1) be a varsity letterwinner, (2) have a GPA of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year, and (3) have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters (including freshman thorough senior year).

Boasting an overall team GPA of 3.74, Stanford was also honored with an ITA All-Academic Team award, open to any program that has a cumulative team GPA of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale). All eligible student-athletes whose names appear on the NCAA eligibility form and have competed in one or more varsity matches must average into the GPA for the current academic year (including fall 2012 and spring 2013).

Last month, Stanford was represented with six honorees among the Pac-12 All-Academic team. Hardebeck, Kostas and Tsay were tabbed to the first team, Doyle and Zhao were featured on the second team while Taylor Davidson was an honorable mention choice.
