GWANGJU, South Korea - The Stanford women's water polo program represented the United States at the World University Games in Gwangju, South Korea in late June and early July.
The event not only featured intense competition in the pool, but enlightening experiences out of the water with thousands of athletes from 170 countries. The Cardinal was able to tour both Gwangju and Seoul and spend considerable time with Mark Lippert, the United States Ambassador to South Korea and a Stanford alumnus.
