STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford midfielder Andi Sullivan was named the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference Tuesday.
Sullivan scored two highlight-reel goals and was a key distributor in the midfield in Cardinal victories at Arizona State and No. 17 Arizona this past weekend.
Sullivan scored the game-winner at Arizona State in the 74th minute with a hard left-footed shot from outside the 18-yard box that found the right corner of the net.
Sullivan continued to be dangerous from distance against the Wildcats, unleashing a blistering right-footed strike from roughly 30 yards out that found the upper lefthand corner of the goal. The goal gave Stanford a 2-1 lead at the time and helped the Cardinal earn a 3-2 overtime victory.
Stanford returns home this weekend and will play six of its final eight games on The Farm. The Cardinal plays host to Oregon State on Thursday at 7 p.m. (PT) and conclude the weekend against Oregon on Sunday at 5 p.m.
