STANFORD, Calif. – No. 13 Stanford returns to action this weekend when it plays host to America East opponent UC Davis Friday evening at 6 p.m. at the Varsity Turf.
The Cardinal (10-5, 2-2 America East) last faced the Aggies (7-10, 0-4 America East) on Oct. 2 in Davis, California. Stanford defeated UC Davis 2-1 for its first America East win in program history thanks to goals by Jessica Chisholm and Fran Tew.
This past weekend, Stanford split matchups against conference opponents Pacific and Cal. The Cardinal outshot the Tigers Friday afternoon 13-10 while holding a 6-4 advantage in penalty corners, but lost 1-0. Stanford bounced back with a 4-0 defeat of Cal at the Varsity Turf Sunday afternoon.

The Cardinal checked in at No. 13 in this week’s Penn Monto/NFHCA Division I coaches poll. Stanford was also ranked No. 12 in the NCAA’s weekly RPI rankings.
Maddie Secco leads the Cardinal in goals (6), assists (8) and points (20). Sarah Helgeson has seven assists, while Fran Tew and Jessica Chisholm have pitched in five goals apiece. Senior goalkeeper Dulcie Davies ranks 10th nationally with a 1.18 goals-against-average and second with a .825 save percentage.
