STANFORD, Calif. – No. 13 Stanford wraps up its regular season Friday when it plays host to Pacific at 6 p.m. at the Varsity Turf.
The Cardinal (11-5, 3-2 America East) last faced the Tigers (9-6, 3-1 America East) on Oct. 16 in Stockton, Calif., and despite holding 13-10 advantage in shots and a 6-4 edge in penalty corners, Stanford fell 1-0 to Pacific.
Since then, Stanford has won both of its games by a four goal differential. The Cardinal defeated Cal 4-0 on Oct. 18 thanks to goals by four Stanford players. Stanford took down conference opponents UC Davis in a 5-1 victory this past weekend.
The Cardinal checked in at No. 13 in this week’s Penn Monto/NFHCA Division I coaches poll and was 11th in the NCAA’s RPI standings.
