STANFORD, Calif. – No. 8 Stanford was named a recipient of the College Team Academic Award for the 2014-15 academic year, as announced Wednesday by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
A total of 859 soccer teams (305 men, 554 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher to earn recognition. Stanford was one of 208 schools to have both its men’s and women’s soccer programs recognized.
Stanford posted a team cumulative GPA of 3.47 during 2014-15 to lead all Pac-12 teams.
The Cardinal had 11 players earn Pac-12 All-Academic honors, three Academic All-District selections and one Capital One Academic All-American last season.
